Re: Nelson Drops Proposal

The bill in its present form had no chance of even getting a hearing in committee. The retail assocation and bottling companies are opposed to it, and that is why it would be tough for it to move forward. As stated in the paper last week, I am working on a comprimise bill to see what kind of support...

Re: Representative Rick Nelson contact info...........

I am delighted to post comments here, althought I do not know what else could be added after two stories in the Harlan Paper. I filed the bill and another one for the following reasons. 1-I thought it would improve the chance that children on the program would have a better chance of having a good m...

Re: Evarts Railroad crossing repairs to begin !!

This Bill Wallace is the new roadmaster for Harlan and he lives in Harrogate.

A couple of notes. The meeting with CSX and transportation came about 6 weeks ago and not after the newspaper article, and it is transportation, not csx that is doing the milling and paving.

Football Schedules

I am having 10,000 football schedules printed. They have Harlan City, Harlan Co and Kentucky on them. As soon as I get them I will start giving them out at most stores and gas stations.

Re: IMPEACH A COUNCIL MEMBER DISCUSSED IN AN ILLEGAL MEETING

I do have an update on the 160 paving. Mt Enterprise has just informed me that they are starting next week. I was told they were going try to start on Tus. As far as the Slope Hollow project, Rep Leslie Combs and I have requested this for the past couple of years. The biggest credit should go to Ada...

I was told my Mt. Enterprise this am that they expect to start on 160 in about 2 weeks. That is if all the paperwork from Frankfort comes through.
