I don’t know what you’re referring to. Specifics?

The news is about Manafort violating the Court’s gag order employing a Russian operative ghost writer, to rewrite his history of working with Russian Intelligence to spread fake news & conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton. That’s the real news. Not the Daily Wires’ hair splitting obfuscation.

Media you call ‘fake news’ fires, suspends and apologizes for mistakes whether intentional or unintentional. Media spinning real events into absurd & debunked conspiracy theories and calling it ‘news’ (i.e, Breitbart, Alex Jones, Daley Caller, etc), job is to intentionally mislead. That’s why you don’t see any retractions of anything these fake news media outlets says or puts into print.

In his unrelenting attack on our Constitutionally protected Free Press, Trump plans to hand out ‘Fake News’ awards this week.

None of the news outlets that gave him positive Free Press worth billions during his election campaign, are eligible for an award. Only those that challenged his hyperbole and lies over the past couple of years are contenders. According to Trump anyone daring to report the facts, that subsequently cast him in a negative light are ‘the enemy of the people.

It’s not the first time a national leader cast the Free Press as an ‘enemy of the people’. Joseph Stalin was the first, followed my China’s dictator Mao.

I will never fear a Free Press. It’s the only real protection of a democracy. I do fear a national leader that declares the the Fourth Estate, the only protected class in our Constitution, ‘an enemy of the people’.

I believe that if Trump didn’t say the exact words reported in the Press, he certainly referenced Haiti, El Salvador and possibly Nigeria as a ‘shithole’ countries, as the bipartisan agreement worked out between Grassley & Durbin included immigrants from those countries already here, for green card eligibility. A part of the 50,000 diversity lottery that would end, if the deal was accepted.

Trump could have included all of Africa. After all Sarah Palin, while running for V.P., called Africa a country not a continent.

I believe this was leaked for two reasons. The weaker Congressional Republicans (not including all, but a few of the leaders) don’t want immigration reformed. If that happens it takes away a major issue the Party has been running with for decades.

The other reason has to do with the recent Quinnipac & Pew polls, showing Trumps base is shrinking. These polls show he’s lost confidence of at at least 15% of his base. It’s no secret Trump cant get his popularity above 40%, even with passing major tax reform. Reform the Republican Party claims will help the countries middle & working class.

Add to this both Republicans and Democrats that do understand the Tax Reform legislation, know that at best, it’s a short term economic stimulation package, with long term consequences for the middle and working class. That’s why you see more than usual Republican House & Senate dropping, not running for another term.

The tactics Trump used to win, cannot be the tactics that will keep Republicans in the majority. At this juncture he’s much more a liability than an asset. If you believe this is baseless opinion, you only have to look at the Special Election results since Trump took office. Those Trump backed lost in States where he had won by more than at least 12% point.

While both the left and right MSM media outlets are consumed with extending the news cycle of the partisan ‘Memo’ crafted and released by Majority House Intelligence Chair, Devin Nunes, an important bit of pertinent news that directly impacts our National Security was buried at the request of top level Homeland Security’s personnel.

CNN complied with Homeland Security’s request to hold off publicizing the not so ‘fake’ bad news of finding the Homeland Security Departments’ biochemical warfare defense manual in the back pocket of an airline seat, until after the Super Bowl. The DHS manual details the Department’s procedure and networks response to a potential Super Bowl biochemical attack. The manual was left behind in the back pocket the airline seat by a high level Home Security Sr. Executive.

The good ‘not so fake’ news is the manual was returned to DHS without incident...as far as we know. The only content of the manual CNN released was the instruction that the manual ‘should be kept safely in a locked drawer and shredded upon disposal’. CNN has stated other content of the manual will be not be released.

Contrary to the ‘citizen privacy concern’ case the House Intelligence Committee Chair, Devin tried to make against the FBI obtaining a FISA warrant for surveillance of Presidental Candidate Trump’s national security advisory Carter Page (a self proclaimed advisor to Russia’s G-20 Summit staff in 2013), the sloppiness within the Trump Administration Department of Homeland Security’s highest level, presents a real threat to our National Security.

If the public had access to the memo Democrat House Intelligence Committee members penned to rebut the assertion both you and the Republican House Intelligence Chair Devin Nunes are making, the public could decide if the FISA warrant was obtained with ‘fake news’.

However in the same fashion Putin controls what the Russian public sees, specifically using his Duma to block the release of any information damaging his regime, Trump under the guise of a ‘national security issue’, has blocked a rebuttal memo the American public has a Constitutional fourth amendment guaranteed right to see.

At least the recent tweet of one House Republican, Justin Amash, who has viewed the Democrats memo, agrees there’s no national security reason to keep it from the American public;

“Both the Republican and Democrat FISA memos should be released, I’ve read both memos. Neither one endangers national security. The American people deserve the opportunity to read both memos”.
