Abdulazeez went to Redbank H.S. in Chattanooga, where classmates described him as friendly and funny, not the sort to do this kind of thing. He graduated from UT Chattanooga in 2012, with an engineering degree. His parents were voted by Chattanooga City Council to serve as unarmed police in the Chattanooga Public Works program.
So far the FBI data base hasn't linked Abdulazeez to any terrorist group, although the investigation is far from over.
