yea, coon on a log, you know they have cleaned up the old pond at the cranks shelter house were they used to have them years ago. It would be nice to bring back something like that to that area again.

you can mention coon on a log to some an they look at you like your crazy lol,i remember it well.

i think it would go over great here in harlan,more than ever people here want to shoot and show off their skills as well as their collection of guns.i think thats the direction i would go,shooting range would be fine but adding a shooting match at least on saturday & sunday morning would really boost your profit.

like anything else,it would start out kinda slow but eventually it would draw people from bell,letcher,leslie all over,the closest one i know of right now is in Halls just this side on Knoxville,i have seen several harlan an Bell co guys there.

the one down in halls is right beside hwy 33 across from the new texaco,you cant help but see it,we should all get together some sat. an drive down for some ideas.

its a dog competition,have a log in water with coon on it,the blue tic,red bone etc are turned loose first one to bring coon off the log wins,very fun to watch.99% of the time the coon is not injurd in anyway.
