The death of 10 illegals, the hospitalization of 17 others and the survival of up to 50 other illegals (9 surviving and immediately detained). And the unknown numbers of others picked from the semi-tractor trailer Saturday, on a Walmart parking lot in San Antonio, confirms U.S. legal ports of entry is used by illegals coming into the USA.
Laredo TX World Trade Bridge Port of Entry handles about 11,000 to 12,000 trucks per day. In late May this year, a storm severely damaged some buildings that had recently been upgraded at the bridge port. Some of the truck traffic has been diverted 19 miles west, to Laredo's Colombia-Solidarity Bridge that connects to the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. A Mexican State which has experienced high levels of drug cartel violence, and human trafficking.
The last tradgety of human trafficking that resulted in the death of 69 of the 70 illegals in transport by a semi tractor trailer, happened 14 years ago.
Building a southern border wall is a waste of money, that could be put to far better use at our legal ports of entry.
