Taken from the Meridzo topic.

BINGO! I know they read the site, so I will sit back and see how it's handled or if it's mentioned. If it's not mentioned in this weeks meeting I will give all the sorted details.

Just got a copy of the minutes from yesterday's Fiscal Court Meeting. I will type this exactly as it is written from the minutes after returning from executive session.

Based on an investigation the current Fiscal Court directed that has taken place on a land transaction that occurred but was not approved by a previous Fiscal Court it has come to our attention that additional information needs to be investigated so I entertained a motion.
Motion David Kennedy: Second James Howard
To direct the individual that has been investigating the transaction to continue his investigation for us. Also to notify in writing the Attorney General and Auditor of Public Accounts the nature of the findings to date and what we are advising that investigator to look into and that we will update them of any additional findings and we all will decide then on how to move forward once the investigation is complete.

Also from today's meeting. The Fiscal Court approved the motion to purchase a mobile home for Stone Mountain Boondoggle from Edgewood Homes. They entered into a rental agreement with Trooper John Carlock for residence at Stone Mountain Boondoggle.

Land transaction
County conducts internal inquiry

http://harlandaily.com/news/8971/land-transaction

This was the topic of discussion at Dairy Queen this morning. It may be sensitive but everyone is talking about it. From what I can make of it Joe Grieshop sold or traded some land to the Jacksons??? in the Cranks area without the courts approval. Their is also a issue with the timeline of when the deed was recorded if i'm not mistaken. Something like years after the deal was made.

More like 200 to 300 acres traded for nothing.

Here's all you need to know. Rug meet broom.

We’re not accusing anyone of anything at this time.
In hopes of potentially resolving this issue
I think it’s important at this point to keep it classified.
It’s sensitive in nature.
We don’t want to have a knee-jerk reaction.

300 acre land trade isn't nothing. Cranks area, so is this near the lake or part of the lake?

It's no longer classified, or sensitive in nature because it's out on the streets. The land in question is currently being logged.

Corruption flows throughout our entire government, like an over flowing river bursts through a dam. Corruption on every side. They will do nothing without financial gain.

“Buy land, they're not making it anymore.” Mark Twain I believe he meant that through legal means and matters.

Looks like I'm going to have to make this it's own topic. I'm getting calls and texts regarding it.

I split this section from the Fiscal Court topic, so the number of views will be off.
