Republicans have no excuse for not proceeding. They made claims and promises for 7 years now. Let's see the rubber hit the road.[/quote]

Today 51 Republican Senators failed to take medical insurance coverage away from 16 million Americans, and give the private insurance companies an annual 20% in premiums to cover anyone not covered under an employer plan, for the next 10 years. Three Republican Senators put their consciences above partisan politics and refuses to be bullied by party leaders or your President. One in particular, Senator John McCain, made it possible to do what should have been done years ago...bipartisan participation to fix Obamacare.

The Honorable Senator John McCain, a member of the generation Tom Brokaw correctly titled his book 'America's Greatest Generation', stood speaking to his colleagues with wisdom and courage missing in the greater majority Republican & Democrat Senators today. Senators that place party politics above the best interest of America and it's people.

Senator McCain's historical speech is reminder that bipartisanship in the halls of Congress, with unflinching courage and sacrifice, is what has made America great.

“Let's return to regular order,” he said. “We've been spinning our wheels on too many important issues because we keep trying to find a way to win without help from across the aisle.”

"Whether or not we are of the same party, we are not the president's subordinates. We are his equal,.....We don't hide behind walls. We bridge them.”

You didn't mention Pseudo King Trump is also threatening to cancel the federal subsidies that pay for people that can't afford insurance premiums, i.e., the poor and working poor.

Yesterday your President foolishly tweeted that the Senate needs to abolish it's majority 60 vote consensus on all Bills. He has no concept of why the solid majority vote rule exist in the Senate. He doesn't even understand how the Committees work in bringing Bills to the floor for a vote.

Congress has limited your pseudo king's power to interfere with the sanctions on Russia, for interfering in our 2016 election. They overwhelmingly voted took away his veto power with 97 Senators voting for the sanctions. The only change that was made in the early draft allows your President the flexibility to negotiate energy issues, with respect to Russian energy supplies outside of it's borders, rather than imposing sanctions on Russia for international trade violations without negotiation first.

This sends strong message to your President that if he continues his anti-democracy attacks, Congress is willing to severely limit his power, or even impeach him if necessary.

Too bad we can't put McCain on Obamacare so that he can experience the nightmare he's inflicting on others.

I'm flabbergasted! I had no idea Obamacare was a greater horror than brain cancer.

Silly me. I've been so stupid believing Obamacare enabled people with pre-existing and life threatening medical conditions like ulcers, HIV, cancer and a thousand other conditions receive treatment they couldn't get before it became law.

Obamacare, with all it's issues is fixable. We Americans united and determined, cannot afford not to fix it. I pray you are never faced with a medical condition that threatens your life, that isn't fixable because you can't afford to fix it.

There are 3,144 counties in the US. One option is better than no option.

As I said Obamacare can be fixed. It's clear the vast majority of Americans want Congress to do it's job and fix it. Not repeal it. Not replace it. Americans want Congress to set aside it's self serving partisan politics and fix it.

If Congress refuses to do it's job, there's gonna be a heck of a lot of new faces on Washington D.C. In November, 2018.

This week your President unmasked another one of his campaign lies not to touch 'Medicaid' tweeting he would refuse to continue federal payments for 70 million people are receiving subsidized medical care through Medicaid.

One out of three children are receiving subsidized medical care through Sen. Hillary Clinton's sponsored CHIP program.

This week a District of Columbia lawsuit filed to prevent Trump from cutting off federal subsidies for Medicaid was expanded to allow States Attorney Generals to join the lawsuit. This action will prevent the Trump Administration from hastening the implosion of Obamacare, giving Congress the opportunity to work out and enact a bipartisan bill that will fix the most critical issues with Obamacare.

It's not a permanent solution. But one that gives our Congress a real opportunity to work toward the goal of Universal Heath Care.

Meanwhile, health insurance companies in Heathcare.Gov are talking double digit premium increases to protect themselves should your President refuse to make the federal subsidy payments.

Obamacare requires health insurance companies spend a minimum 80% of collected premiums and federal subsidy premium assistance on direct medical care.

Trump has asked Democrats for input on fixing Obamacare. Something that Hillary Clinton said in her campaign that needed to be done and she would do immediately after taking office.

I posted the immediate ‘fixes’ that could help in the short term. Like expanding Medicaid eligibility for anyone employed earning less than 200% above the poverty level, and allowing the uninsured and uninsurable to access Medicare at a premium reflecting cost. Small and intermediate private companies and public non-profit organizations. should be allowed the same access.

Trump is looking for help to getting himself out of the hole on one of his campaign promises. The Democrat Party will gladly jump on board to kick the can down the road, protecting campaign donations from health insurance, pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Medical care in our country should not be guided by anything, other than need. This is an economic issue that both major parties can win with. But only if the powers within them have the guts to phase out health insurance companies, and curtail the cost of pharmaceuticals.

So far, neither established Party has shown a willingness to acknowledge a single payer government controlled medical care delivery system is the only way to make medical care universally accessible and affordable. The efficiency traps within government controlled single payer systems are well established and can be avoided. It’s not like Congressional Senators don’t have access to this information. Or don’t know what needs to be done. Other westernized countries have decades of historical data, if considered would make the transition relatively easy. What Congress doesn’t have the guts to do, is actually put the welfare of our nation’s people above their political interest.

Trump is working on removing the religious mandate regarding contraception from Obamacare. I love seeing these pansies in a uproar when Trump follows through with his campaign promises.

What are the chances women whose contraception was previously paid for by their insurance , that will pay for it from their pocket going to do? Blame Democrats? What about their moms, grandma’s, sisters, aunts and daughters? Will they blame democrats too?
